The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash Review

Hello everyone,

Today I’ll be reviewing The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash for you all. Well, this actually belongs to my hubby. He bought it on one of his visits to the TBS store with me. I was so shocked to see him handing the face wash to the person at the counter while billing. I have never seen him using a face wash in these 10 years of knowing him. He always used bathing bar or body wash to cleanse his face.
Anyway, coming back to home, I didn’t take time or thought twice before stealing it from him.

I always had problem free skin, but few months back, suddenly my skin started behaving weirdly; it was breaking out crazily. And adult pimples are nagging beyond words. I have heard a lot about TBS’s Tea Tree range and how efficient it is in treating acne and blemishes.

So let’s see how well it fared on my skin…

The Body Shop says:-
This daily-use facial wash for blemished skin gives clearer-looking skin when used as part of a regular regime.
  • Removes excess oil without over-drying skin.
  • Helps remove impurities.
  • Clinically proven to give clearer-looking skin

Price:-
Rs. 695 for 250ML

Packaging:-
The product comes in a dark green bottle with a leakage proof, flip open cap. It is sturdy and you can easily accommodate it in your travel bag.

My Experience with The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Face Wash:-
The face wash is gel based and is pale green in color. The consistency is on the runnier side, so you have to be careful when pouring the product. The texture is light, feels very mild and adds a cooling sensation which I love. Skin feels so fresh and clean every time I use this; especially after coming home from office, washes away all the exhaustion along with dirt and grime that accumulated throughout the day. I have tried many face washes; most which dried out my face, but this removed excess oil so effectively without over-drying my skin. I have been using it for the past 3-4 months and no pimples since then. *HAPPY DANCE*.

Seeing the results, I asked by hubby to get another one for him. He has oily, acne-prone skin and he loves it too.

Summing up my LIKES and DISLIKES:-

What I LIKED about The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash:-
  • Mild, daily-use facial wash.
  • With purifying tea tree oil.
  • Deeply cleanses.
  • Cooling and refreshing on skin.
  • Skin appears clearer.
  • Reduces oiliness and shine.
  • Reduces the appearance of pesky pimples.
  • Doesn’t dry out skin.
  • Skin feels soft, supple and imparts a glow.
  • Suits almost all skin types.
  • Herbal fragrance which didn’t disturb my sensitive nose.
  • I don’t find paying for products that actually works.
What you MAY NOT LIKE about The Body Shop Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash:-
  • Oily skin may feel the need of washing skin again after 3-4 hours.
  • Some may find it expensive.
  • Someone who loves extra foamy cleansers will be disappointed.
  • Some may find the fragrance strong.
  • Doesn't work on blemishes.
Final Thoughts:-
Tea tree is usually suggested for oily skin and that is why my hubby got it, but it fared on my normal skin perfectly too. This is a product that made me fall in love with The Body Shop all over again. The cooling lather removes impurities and excess oil, leaves my skin feeling refreshed and squeaky clean. It is a must have in summer skincare kit.

Rating:-
4/5
