KAMA Ayurveda Pure Rose Water Review

Hyped and of no extra use, this is what I always thought of over-the-counter rose waters. I prefer making up my own rose water rather than buying something artificial from the market.
I love rosewater and it is a staple in my skin care regime. From spraying it on face as a toner or using it just as a refreshing mist; from mixing it up in a mask or even using it to set your makeup, the uses of rose water are quite extensive. Few months back, I came across this KAMA Ayurveda Pure Rose Water

Kama Rosewater boasts of Kanauj Roses, which is my favorite. I thought of giving this a try. So did this product change my perception of rose waters? Or I would still prefer the homemade one? Read to find out…

KAMA Ayurveda says:-
A decadent floral distillation that refreshes, hydrates and tones leaving skin scented with the luxuriant scent of pure Roses.

Price:-
INR 250 for 50ml
INR 950 for 200ml

Packaging:-
A dark colored bottle with spray pump dispenser and a clear cap. The spray dispenser is of great quality and sprays the exact amount on exact place. The golden fonts on the pale pink sticker and the dark, woody bottle look so luxurious. Every details are mentioned on the packaging itself.

My Experience with Kama Ayurveda Pure Rose Water

The Fragrance:-
Looks and feels like water, but the fragrance is absolutely divine. Rose fragrances are generally strong and don’t suit my sensitive nose, but this is very subtle, nothing over the top like artificial rose scents in the rose waters we usually see in the stores. It smells like a bouquet of fresh roses and just awakens my skin with this irresistibly dewy scent of roses.

How to Use:-
Twice a day, in the morning before going out and at night before hitting the sack. I miss the morning spray most of the days due to my ‘running late’ habit, but never miss it during my night regime. I spray this on my clean skin, wait for sometime till it gets half absorbed and then use a few drops of KAMA Ayurveda Kumkumadi Miraculous Beauty Fluid.
I also carry it on my bag and use randomly during the day for that soothing effect, especially in hot, humid days. Sometimes I even spray it on face packs or even set makeup for that dewy glow.

Love it? Hate it?
It is very hard to describe why I love this rose water so much; I just know I am kind of hooked on to it. (Sounds like I am pondering over and describing my First Love :/ ).
It gives a lovely, calming effect whenever I use it. It refreshes me and soothes my senses. The fragrance is to die for and I see myself going for this over and over again, mainly because of it. My skin has lately become very sensitive and whenever I see any redness, I use this and redness vanishes within minutes. This along with my night serum freshens up my dull, dehydrated skin and brings it back to life. What else do I need?

Summing up my LIKES and DISLIKES:-
What I LIKE about KAMA Ayurveda Pure Rose Water:-
  • Sensuous rose fragrance
  • Pure rose water, contains only rose and distilled water.
  • Has many benefits: can be used as toner, a natural astringent, refreshing facial mist, makeup setting spray and in face packs and eye packs.
  • Maintains the pH level of your skin.
  • Boosts skin hydration.
  • Refreshing.
  • Soothes redness and itchy skin.
  • Can be used after shaving and waxing to avoid redness and bumps.
  • Minimizes pores.
  • Free from artificial fragrances and colorants.
  • Free from any preservatives, petrochemicals, Phthalates, SLS and Paraben.
  • Luxurious packaging.
  • Travel friendly.
  • Pump dispenser for the ease of use.
  • Easily available online.
  • Suitable for all skin types.

What I don’t Like about KAMA Ayurveda Pure Rose Water :-
  • The price tag. Every time I finish a bottle, I sit to make the biggest decision of my life, whether it is at all necessary to spend another 1k on a rose water or not.

Final Thoughts:-
I am using this rose water for quite some time now and I can say that it is the best and the most expensive toner I have used till now. The fragrance is a bomb and it attracts me to the bottle more than anything else. I love my homemade rose water a lot, but these days, I am loving this equally..if not more.
