Newspaper Nail Art Using WATER: Tutorial with Step-by-Step Pictures

Hello everyone,

Nail arts might seem difficult, but most of the time they are not and you can create incredible looking nail arts even without being a pro. Today I’ll be doing a super easy nail art tutorial that the beginners would love to try and the experts would also love to flaunt. It is the Newspaper Nail Art. Well, most of the nail art enthusiasts do this look with alcohol, but today I’ll be showing you how you can achieve it without alcohol, with just plain water. Water because it is safe and luckily easily available. :P

So it is time to wear news on your nails. Let the tutorial begin :D

What you need:-
  • Top Coat
  • Light shade nail polish
  • Newspaper strips
  • Water
Procedure:-

  • The process is basically the same with the use of alcohol but instead it just uses water.
  • Paint your shades in a light shade nail polish. I chose white.
  • Apply a double coat. Let it dry about 90%.
  • Now soak the newspaper strip in water for a few seconds.
  • Moist your nails and put the paper on them. Place the design you like to get facing downwards on your nails.
  • Dip your finger in water and gently pat over the paper. You can use a Q-tip for this.
  • Now press the paper on your nails for about 10-12 seconds. Make sure you don’t move the paper from where you pressed it on.
  • Leave it like that for about a minute and keep gently pressing in intervals.
  • Peel the paper strip off carefully.
  • Apply top-coat to finish. Top coat is very necessary, otherwise the ink will smear off.

So, that’s it. Pretty simple and looks so chic. Hope you like it.
