The Blushing Bride: Natasha Chowdhury

Hello everyone,
Today on “Blushing Brides” we are featuring a very pretty lady from the beautiful city of Siliguri, Natasha Chowdhury. She got married on 25th November last year and today she is here to share her wedding moments with us.

Marriage is beautiful and when two of your friends get entwined in this beautiful bond,
your joy knows no bounds. Right?
So without blabbering further, lets us go through their story :)

How did you guys meet?
“Well it’s a common trip story of two unknown person. A group of friends together went to a place named “Taki” near Hasnabad for a day trip to celebrate our holiday for Gandhi Jayanti, and we became friends through a common friend. It was 2012 when we first met and gradually became good friends until he proposed me for marriage after 3 years. We never thought we can be soul mates one day but reality is indeed stranger than fiction. We tied the knot forever in another couple of years.”

So how long did you get to plan your entire wedding?
“We almost got a year to plan our wedding. My entire super exited family planned each everything minutely starting from marriage hall booking to menu and tatta…each & everything. Me & Jay also planned together some of the things like photographer & makeup artists etc. I always wanted to do shopping with him for my special day but we missed the opportunity due to his absence.”

Tell us something about where you got your outfits and accessories, both wedding and reception?
“I always wanted to look like a traditional Bengali bride on my day. Thanks to Tirupati, Siliguri for such a beautiful traditional Banarasi silk saree, I took a red golden banarasi silk with minakai kaj for my wedding day and a Royal Blue-Golden Banarasi Silk for my reception from Priyo Gopal Bisoyi, Triangular Park, Kolkata. Bengali wedding is incomplete without lots of traditional sarees in your bucket. I made sure not to miss the opportunity to stack my wardrobe with pure silk, Padma katha, handloom, dhakai jamdani and silk. With all the traditional sarees, for a change, I chose a beautiful Zardozi lehenga from Adi Mohini Mohan Kanjilal  for Kone Tatta which is untried yet unfortunately.

Most of my gold ornaments are from Jasomati  Jewelry Palace, Siliguri and costume jewelry are from City Gold. Shoes for wedding I took from Metro and for reception from Khadims.”

Where did you get your makeup & hair done?
On my wedding day all my hair & makeup was done by bridal MUA Tania Sarkar Paul and she did a fabulous job. I got exactly the look I was dreaming of.

Tell something about your Photographer.
“Jay and me together have gone through a number of photographers profile via canvera website and finally decided to go ahead with Pranab Sarkar Photography from Kolkata and yes it’s our right decision. Entire team was very hard working and they captured our moments as expected beautifully.”

Any special moment you want to share with us?
“Everything is special and indescribable when you get the love of your life. It was a dream day. We still cherish our every single moment together.”

Any advice you want to share all the readers out there?
“It’s the day when a bubbly girl becomes a responsible lady. Enjoy the fullest; your dream is coming true. All brides are beautiful in their own way. Smile bright….It’s your moment only.

DECK and DINE says:-
I just completely adore her look, traditional, elegant and classy. Her makeup embraced and enhanced her features instead of making her look harsh and hard on the eyes. The combination of red Benarasi and gold jewellery can never go wrong on a Bengali wedding. She was the quintessential Bengali bride and looked amazingly beautiful.

Thank you Natasha for letting us feature your journey here.
You and Jayabrata make such a wonderful couple. Hope your life together will always be filled with joy, happiness and lots of love. May your bonds of marriage strengthen, holding strong amidst all fears. Stay blessed!
