Bourjois Lovely Rouge collection #17 Rouge Allie Review, Swatches, LOTD, FOTD

Red lipstick is to women, what sports cars to men”. Women in red garner a lingering 7.3 second gaze, while those wearing pinks and naturals get 2.2 seconds. But red lipstick is about more than just getting noticed. A key to instant gorgeous glamour that brightens the face and can actually make you feel more confident. It is an ageless beauty wonder.
So today I’ll be reviewing a gorgeous red lipstick from my vanity. It is Bourjois Rouge Allie 17.

Bourjois says:
·      Bourjois Lovely Rouge glide-on formula covers lips with intense satiny color in one coat.
·      Ultra-moisturizing formula is infused with antioxidants and vitamin E to protect and nourish lips.
·      Mirror on the top of the cap for easy re-touch anywhere, anytime, On-the-Go!

Packaging:-
A cute little rusty red bullet with a mirror on top and the shade name-number written on the body and as well as on the base. Mirror on the top of the cap for easy re-touch anywhere, anytime. On-the-Go!

Shade:-
A gorgeous warm red. Not so bright that it would attract tonnes of attention, but red enough to be vampy and glamorous. I can imagine it flattering on most people whether you're pale, dark, cool or warm toned.

Texture:-
It has a lavish, rich texture. The ultra-moisturizing formula is infused with antioxidants and vitamin E to protect and nourish lips. It is creamy and buttery soft with a high-gloss sheen that feels great on my lips, keeps them moisturized and prevent from further drying out. The super moisturizing formula helps to glide on thick and creamy without streaking, and never feels heavy on lips.

Pigmentation:-
It has completely rich and utterly beautiful color payoff. The hand swatch shows the colour intensity at one swipe.

Staying Power:-
The staying power is good. It stays for about 5 hours and fades evenly leaving a strong tint behind.

Summing up my LIKES and DISLIKES:-

What I like about Bourjois Rouge Allie 17:-
  • Gorgeous color
  • Creamy texture
  • Nice glossy finish
  • Doesn’t settle in fine lines
  • Opaque Coverage
  • Quite moisturizing
  • Decent staying power
  • Leaves a nice stain
  • Tip is designed in such a way so you can easily line your lips
  • Chic packaging with mirror on top.

What I don’t like about Bourjois Rouge Allie 17:-
  • Availability
  • Bleeds.

Final Thoughts:-
It has been discontinued. Yes, unfortunately this lipstick is no longer available in the market. But companies often bring back discontinued shades, and so I thought of reviewing it. Hope this lipstick comes back, soon; because this one is too good to be ignored. A lovely red, with a lovely texture and color payoff. Silky smooth moisturizing lipstick effortlessly glides onto lips and gives intense satiny color in one coat.
Ohhh…it is still available on amazon.com
