Rimmel London Lasting Finish by Kate Moss Lipstick 05 Review, Swatches, LOTD, FOTD

Hey all,

How is the New Year treating you? Great I hope.
For me, so far, so good. I haven't broken any of my new year’s resolutions yet. Saving more money, eating at home more, exercising, ahh…!! just getting started though. I just hope my New Year resolutions this year don’t die premature deaths this year.
Anyway, back to today’s review. I was gifted a set of 4 Rimmel London lipsticks by Arijit a few months back. This is one of those four lipsticks.

So here goes the review of Rimmel London lasting finish by Kate Moss lipstick in shade number 05.

Product Description:-
The 1st Lipstick collection created by Kate Moss High intensity color for up to 8 hours. Formula infused with Black Diamonds, reflects light like never before. Captures all the flair, edge and timelessness of Kate’s unique look.

Price:
5.49$

Packaging:-
A matte black bullet case with a cap that has the Rimmel logo engraved on top and a print of Kate Moss’s signature. Simple and chic.

Color:-
On my NW25 complexion it sows as a bright and cheerful blue based glossy fuchsia. Very pretty and very summery; but you can definitely rock this in winters as well. The shade goes well with both neutral and dramatic eyes. It is a perfect pink for me.

Texture:-
Very soft and creamy. It glides smoothly on lips without tugging or pulling. After a while it settles into a semi-matte finish. This lipstick isn't moisturizing, but it didn't feel drying either.

Color Payoff:-
It goes sheer on the first swatch, but can easily be layered to have a full coverage.

Staying power:-
Company claims that it would stay put for 8 hours, but unfortunately it didn’t stay on me for more than 3-4 hours.

Summing up my LIKES and DISLIKES:-

LIKES:-
  • Pretty color.
  • Creamy and soft texture.
  • Glides beautifully.
  • Settles into a semi-matte finish.
  • Doesn’t feel drying on lips.
  • Buildable shade.
  • Doesn't look weird or thick on the lips when you build it up
  • Love the fruity scent.
  • Classy packaging
  • Affordable

DISLIKES:-
  • Claims to stay put for 8 hours: It doesn’t..!!! It doesn’t survive meals. So The Kate Moss lipstick does need to be reapplied after every meal.

Final Thoughts:-
A satiny, pretty pink. If you like your lips with something more than just a regular, natural color, then this is a great color for you. It is also a great option for someone looking to ease themselves into the world of lipsticks. Creamy and smooth formula, provides the right amount of glossiness, the satiny finish wears for 4 hours if not 8 and is non-drying too. Can’t wait to try some of the other colors in this range.

Rating:-
4/5

I hope you guys liked this review.
Have you tried any of Rimmel Kate Moss lippies?? Let us know…
