Budget beauty products, they have their own charm. No matter how much we splurge on high-end products, the happiness of finding an awesome budget makeup or beauty product is unparalleled. 

When I started buying makeup on my own, I went for more affordable brands, two reasons for that..first, I could afford only the affordable ones with my pocket money; second, I was not sure of buying the costlier ones lest they don't suit me.
This post is making me very nostalgic. It is reminding me of the days when I started my venture with makeup and beauty products; the time when I used to drool ( I still drool though) over those Rs.20 eye shadow kit from some Chinese brands, what colors and what pigmentation they had. Anyway, in these years I have realized one thing, you don't really have to spend big to get results. There are affordable budget beauty and skincare products that work wonders and are easily available.

No, no. Don’t think that I have lost my mind. This inexpensive after shave lotion is actually dubbed 'the world's best' primer for foundation by famous beauty gurus. And trust me, it works really well. So don’t worry about spending a bomb on primers and get this.

I love this affordable foundation. Beautiful texture, blendable and settles into a luminous, dewy finish.

Lakme Perfecting Liquid Foundation

I guess we all started our journey with foundations with this one. It is a decent one, but keep your shade in mind. It can go totally grey or white

Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder:-

One of my favorite pressed powders. It keeps skin up to 5 hours shine free. Helps minimize the appearance of pores. Dermatologically tested.

Lakme 9 to 5 Flawless Matte Complexion Compact

Another favorite. It is lightweight, gives totally matte finish and keeps skin shine free for hours.

Lakme Radiance Compact Powder

The first compact powder I ever used. Dirt cheap, pretty good quality and does it’s job perfectly. What else do you need?

Comes in a lipstick like bullet packaging, this provides ease of use and is spot-on when it comes to hiding those flaws.

Lakme Absolute White Intense Concealer

A medium coverage concealer which can be built up. It hards spots and dark circles pretty effectively, keeps you looking fresh and its ultra light formula allows your skin to breathe naturally.

L.A Girl HD Pro Concealer:-

Though this product can only be purchased online, but this is a very raved and universally accepted and loved concealer. Correct, conceal, brighten or contour; the range has everything for you.

Pen liners are super easy to use and give a very controlled and precise application. This one is a gorgeous black with amazing pigmentation and staying power.

Oriflame Nude Kohl Pencil:-

Instead of applying white on my rims, I always prefer applying a nude colored liner. This one is the best at this price.

A great day time mascara when you don’t want too much going on but would want some definition to your eyelashes.

Lift and add volume to your lashes in seconds, this is one of my favourite drugstore mascaras.

PAC Eyelashes:-

They are the best budget false eye lashes I have used. Fabulous and light weighed.

Ardell False Eyelashes:-

Price: INR 240 onwards
Ardell has some great options if you’re looking for quality false lashes at affordable price, Naomi being my favourite.

Maybelline New York Color Sensational Lip Gradation
Price:- INR 500.
Though not under INR 500, but it is worth every penny. Moreover, you can get it for 400 something when purchased online. If you want a great matte lip color that comes at a good drugstore price and doesn’t make your lips feel like deserts then this range is for you.

Lakmé 9to5 Matte Lipcolor:-

Another favorite range of lipsticks under 500. Amazing colors, combines amazing comfort with staying power that keeps the color intact for hours. There are other two range, 9to5 Primer + Matte Lipstick and 9to5 Crease-less Lip Color which are good too.

Maybelline Colorshow Lipstick range:-
Price: INR 250 onwards.
Another good range of lipsticks if you are on budget.

Lip creams are in vogue and at this price, these lip creams are totally worth every penny. Only turnoff is, some of them feel so matte, like deserts.

There was a dearth of matte nail polishes in India, until Nykaa came to our rescue. From sultry to classic shades, from nudes to summery fun colors, the range of colors is really vast.

Colorbar Smudge Brush:-

I love smudging kohl for a smoky effect and this is my love of life. This is a small brush for smudging kohl, patting color onto lower lash line and highlighting inner corner of eyes.

I cannot imagine my life without this. It keeps me feeling fresh for the entire day. My underarms feel so smoother and fairer J

Bio Oil:-

My night skin care regime is incomplete without this. Have been using this product since last 3 years and I am hooked.  It moisturizes and also helps in making skin even toned.

KAMA Ayurveda Rose Water:-
Price:- INR 250 for 50ml
I don’t really believed in over the counter rose waters, as other than the fragrance, they did nothing to my skin. But this product changed my view. This cooling water refreshes, revives, hydrates and tones my skin. The luxuriant scent of pure roses lingers for hours. I love this.

Nature’s Essence Under Eye Cream:-
Price: INR 85
So cheap, yet so effective. This worked wonders on me.

Aroma Magic Anti Pigmentation Glossy Pack:-
Price: INR 375 for 100gms
Another miracle product that worked really well on me. It has removed my tan and lightened spots to a great extend. Moreover, it is 100% free of parabens, harsh chemicals, alcohol, artificial fragrance and color.

VLCC Skin Defense Indian Berberry Face Scrub
Price: INR 220
It does its job pretty effectively. Rejuvenated, refreshed and moisturized skin within a few minutes is what I look out for and this definitely does that. I would recommend this to everyone who is struggling with blackheads and rough skin.

Lotus Herbals Safe Sun Intensive Sunblock Spray Uva Index 16 - Spf 50:-
Price: INR 395
This is my sweetheart, my go to sunscreen lotion. This works well for my normal skin and will work for dry skin as well. But if you have oily skin, you can give their 3 in 1 matte look daily block. That one is good too.

BBlunt Back to Life Dry Shampoo for Instant Freshness
Price: INR 470 for 125ml
It instantly gives freshness and needed volume to day 3 greasy hair. Good if you are in hurry and don’t have time to wash your hair. You can buy the 30ml bottle for trial purpose. It retails for Rs. 250.
