NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick Soft Spoken Review, Swatches, LOTD and FOTD

Hello lovely people,
I am a big fan of lip creams. Yes, the lip cream craze has really got me and I am hoarding them like a fanatic. My recent love is NYX’s Lip Suede range. After the immense popularity of the soft lip creams, NYX came up with this lip suede range and the beauty world is going gaga over them. I have already reviewed two most popular shades from the range, NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels (Read review HERE) and Cherry Skies (Read review HERE). And today I will be reviewing NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Soft Spoken.

What NYX says:-
Doll up your lips in plush and vibrant color! Our Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick glides on and sets into a striking matte finish. Now available in 12 more velvety-soft shades, this waterproof lippie creates a positively polished look with every swipe.

Price:-
Rs. 850.

Packaging:-
A cylindrical bottle with black cap which has a long doe-foot applicator attached inside. The doe foot applicator is of decent quality and applies the product easily and evenly.

Shade:-
NYX describes “Soft Spoken” as a mauve nude and on me it is not really a nude, but a peachy brown with hints of mauve in it. Very wearable and would look superb on Indian skin tones.

Texture and Finish:-
The texture is very soft, very creamy and glides on lips like a dream. But compared to other lip creams I have used, this one takes a little more time to get dry. It takes around 4-5 minutes to settle into the gorgeous and comfortable matte finish. The matte formula is non-drying; it neither settles into fine lines nor does it accentuate dry patches.

Color payoff and Staying power:-
Insanely pigmented; it goes gorgeously opaque in single swipe. It for around 6-7 hours on me with snacks and drinks in between, but it doesn’t survive full meal. You have to watch out for that and remember that you have to reapply thereafter.

Summing up my Likes and Dislikes:-

What I like about NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels:-
  • An everyday wearable shade.
  • Versatile, goes well with morning look as well as with glam smoky night look.
  • Soft, creamy texture.
  • Lightweight formula.
  • Non-sticky; non-gloppy.
  • Keep lips pillowy.
  • Glides beautifully.
  • Avacado oil, olive oil and glycerine keeps your lips hydrated for long.
  • It doesn't bleed even if you don't use a lip liner.
  • Insanely pigmented.
  • A little is needed to get the desired shade, so the product would last long.
  • It covers pigmented lips beautifully.
  • Good staying power.
  • Nice travel friendly packaging.
  • Available at NYX outlets and online.

What I don’t like about NYX Liquid Suede Cream Lipstick in Kitten Heels:
  • Some may find the long wand applicator difficult to use.

Final Thoughts:-
A beautiful red liquid lipstick with a beautiful matte finish. Glides on smoothly, lightweight and sets with a soft, velvety look, absolutely love it. Looks so classy. It doesn’t dry out your lips like most of the matte liquid lipsticks. I am in love with the color and texture so much that I don’t mind reapplying it when it fades after eating. I want to try their other shades as well.

Rating:-
5/5
