MAC Yash lipstick: Review, Swatches, LOTD, FOTD

Hey all,
Amongst all the wooing reds, loudmouth oranges, pretty pinks, bold berries, cool corals and flamboyant fuchsias, we often tend to forget that nude lipstick sitting on the corner of our dressing table.
There is something magical about nude lipsticks. It can look super flattering when worn in a right manner. MAC has got the best nude lipsticks and today I'll be reviewing one of them... It is MAC Yash lipstick.

Packaging:-
The lipstick comes in a glossy black bullet case, with shade name and number at the base. The bullet comes in a black box, and ingredient list, price are mentioned on it.

Shade:-
It is a pale, neutral peachy beige and has a matte finish. It is one of the best nudes I have in my kitty. I love how it leans neither peachy nor brown on me, just plain nude. It doesn’t wash me out and I guess would look superb on Indian skin tones.

Texture:-
It has a matte finish, but not a drying matte finish at all; it’s creamy and opaque. It helps to glide on thick and creamy without streaking for that beautiful, smooth finish. It never feels drying and keeps lips perfectly soft without settling on fine lines or highlighting patches.

Color Payoff:-
Pigmentation is incredible. One swipe and you are done.
Many compare it to t
he cult favorite MAC Mehr. But as you can see from the swatch below, MAC Mehr is a lot pinker.

Staying power:-
It stays on for a really long time. When I don’t lick it off, it stays on for more than 6 hours on me.

Summing up LIKES and DISLIKES:-

LIKES:-
  • ·        Perfect nude.
  • ·        Buttery smooth texture.
  • ·        Glides beautifully.
  • ·        Awesome pigmentation.
  • ·        Doesn’t feel drying on lips.
  • ·        Doesn’t settle on fine lines.
  • ·        Doesn’t highlight patches.
  • ·        Awesome staying power.
DISLIKES:-
  • ·        Unavailability.
  • ·        Pricey.

Final thoughts:-
This is one of my go-to lip colors for neutral lips. To me, it is the perfect nude shade - not too dark or too light. Despite being matte, it is creamy enough for dry lips. Smooth, nice color payoff and the longevity is amazing too.  Definitely worth the purchase…!!! Best part, it doesn't make me look washed out or like I'm wearing concealer on my lips. Just perfect on its own..
