Look of the Day: Soft purple eyes and Ombre lips

Ahh..!! The winters are finally here and it is the time for comfort, for good food and warmth. And winter is also the time to play with different colors. I generally don’t follow any rules or trends when doing makeup; I just do my makeup according to my mood. But ombre lips are my ultimate winter favorite. I guess you all have seen Hollywood beauties like Katie Holmes, Cameron Diaz and pretty Drew Barrymore flaunting their gorgeous ombre locks.
From hair, ombre trend now have transferred to lips as well. I went for ombre lips dauntlessly quite a few times. It’s a sure head turner and you’ll get raised eyebrows as well as many compliments.

So last Sunday I went for this ombre lips and soft purple pastel eyes.
Pastel eyes are a vibrant way to lighten up what is usually a dark and dramatic. They are super easy to do; they are soft, yet intense. This look is very versatile and can compliment both Indian and western attire.

So lets begin..Click "Read more"

Base:-
My base is the Studio Fix Fluid by MAC.
Apply a good concealer under the eyes, preferably couple of shades lighter than your actual your skin tone. It is very important to have a bright under eye area for any eye look to work.

Eyes:-
Make sure you have an even and smooth base. Apply an eye primer so that the eye shadows can be applied in a smooth, even layer, and so that it will stay in place on the eyelid.. I have used Urban Decay eye shadow Potion.
On my upper eye lid I have a pinky purple eye shadow, blended with a dark plumy-chocolate brown which had a soft shimmer finish. I  blended the colors with a beige-brown eye shadow on the crease area. For highlighting my brow bone I applied a pale, shimmered nude beige. All the eye shadows are from Coastal Scents 258 eye shadow pallet.
I skipped any liner on upper lid and went straight to lining lower lash line. I just used a thin stroke of Faces kajal just on my waterline. I have completed my eye makeup with the L’Oreal Million Lashes mascara.

LIPS:-
Ombre lips are this season's hottest beauty trend. Though the horizontal gradation of colors is more common amongst ombre lips lovers, but I went for the vertical gradation of colors this time.
I applied a reddish pink lipstick on the outer corners of both the lips and a nude lipstick in the centre of both the lips. I t
hen blended the harsh lines in between with a lip brush. The reddish pink lipstick is MAC Relentlessly Red and the nude lipstick is MAC Yash.

Cheeks:-I used NYX Dessert Rose to add a flush of color on my cheeks.

So that’s it… J Hope you liked the look.
