Today's dish lies somewhere in the middle of the graph, a style that is imported from the middle east with and ingredients that are close to our heart . Its a very tasty easy to make dish and goes well with rice, roti and parantha as well.

Ingredients :

Banana flower( boiled), tiger prawns, onions, ginger, asafoetida, turmeric, salt, sugar, cumin powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder, gram flour, cashew nuts, mustard oil.

Procedure :
  •  Use a food processor to finely chop the boiled banana florets. Be careful not to grind it.
  • De-vein the prawns, wash their heads properly and in the same manner as the banana flowers..chop them!

  • Grate some ginger, chop about half of a mid sized onion.
  • Put all of the above in a mixing bowl, and add a pinch of asafoetida, turmeric, cumin powder, coriander powder, and red chilli powder. Add about gram flour( binding agent). add salt to taste.
  • Mix the contents of the bowl throughly.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Use spoon( if you don't want to use your hands) to make round balls and fry them.

  • Once the Kofta turns brown on the outside, take them out.
I make different sizes just to have someting to munch while I am cooking.
  • Take some cashew nuts, ginger, bayleaf, and cumin seeds and make a paste out them.
    oo..and slice a tomato too.
  • Once again, heat oil in a pan, and chuck the tomatoes right in.
  • Once they are slightly brown, add the cashew paste, and stir.add salt and sugar to taste.

  • Once the oil starts separating , add water and boil for 10 minutes on medium flame.

  • Add the Koftas, and let them cook in the gravy for 5-7 minutes.

Congratulations...Your dish is ready..Plate up and Njoy.
